El Galleon Beach Resort.
Resorts come in all shapes and types, so let us try to show you what makes our beach resort so special.
We are situated on the island of Mindoro , known as the Jewel of the Phillip pines.
The water flowing here comes from the famous Verde Island current which brings nutrient and oxygen rich waters to our shores, which is why this is a protected fish reserve.
It is no accident that this beach resort has figured in so many movies. Romantically nestled among the palm trees El Galleon is literally at the beach where you can swim, scuba or snorkel.

Whether you are a total novice who just fancies trying our sport or a highly experienced diver, we have the dives and the courses for you. Indeed we are a full part of El Galleon, not some little add-on to a beach resort.
Indeed, we are one of only two dive schools in the entire Philippines qualified to train to Instructor level.
The diving here is certainly among the very best in the world and we can boast that because a recent survey revealed that once someone has been diving here, they will return on average 10 times.
The water is warm all year round and never varies between 25C and 27C with average visibility of around 35 meters.
Because of the very high level of nutrients brought in from the Pacific by the Verdi current we actually have more fish species than in the whole of the Red Sea and more varieties of corals than even the Great Barrier Reef.

El Galleon however is a lot more than just somewhere to swim or dive. We are a family resort with lots to enjoy besides getting wet.
Children. Nothing can wreck a vacation faster than bored children and there are many, many things for them to enjoy. That said I am reminded of young children who getting a present get more fun out of playing with the box.
All children love to beach comb at low tide and there are many little rock pools where they can do just that.
If they can swim we have the Coral Garden only a few minutes away where they can see fish playing among the corals without getting out of their depth. We also have the Padi 'Bubblemakers' course to introduce young children to our sport from as young as eight, whilst a ten year old can do the full 'Open Water' course.
These courses are run by specially trained divers on our staff, ensuring we keep your children safe at all times.
The short movie below will give you some ideas as to the other things you might like to do whilst you are here.

As well as being right at the beach, five minutes walk along the beach literally, is the small town of Sabang. This is packed with restaurants to suite every nationality and taste. The there is a myriad of different bars as well as discos where you can dance the night away, or just sit and listen to live entertainment.
Baby-sitting. The Philippinos are famous the world over for their love of children. If you fancy leaving the resort and wandering out, just ask at reception with a little notice and one of our staff happily entertain your children or see they sleep safely.
Lastly the BIG reasons people come to the Philippines.
Firstly, it is a LOT cheaper than most people imagine. A dinner in one of the best restaurants in the area costs around $10. For the price of parking your car in London or New York you can have a room and wallow in luxury here.
It is safe here. This is predominantly a Christian country. The Philippino people are famous for the warmth of their nature and you are sure to get a very warm welcome if you decide to honeymoon with us.
Our Climate. Unlike most countries that have four seasons the Philippines only has two. The Wet season and the Dry season. Nature decided to bless us in this because even in the Wet season the vast majority of the rainfall happens at night. Hence we operate all year through, with the same high standards of service.
