Continuing Your Professional Education

Continuing your education expands your career options, making you more valuable as an employee and staff member. It also sets a good example for your future students.

Career opportunities in the recreational dive industry are increasing rapidly, however so is the competition, especially for the most attractive jobs! To maximize your opportunity in the industry you need to be a cut above the average instructor. Instructor continuing education gives you that needed edge, as well as the opportunity to increase your income and expand your own skills.

Here are programs that you should take, and certifications that you should work towards completing as soon as possible.

iDAP College's Go Pro Programs are all inclusive, complete education packages that progressively take you through the Career Development Program. Go Pro Programs can be completed consecutively or over a period of time to meet your scheduling needs. You may enroll in any of the courses within the Go Pro on an individual basis provided you meet the entry requirements for that course.

EFR Instructor including Care for Children Instructor- Anyone with an interest can become an EFR Instructor which includes Care for Children Instructor to provide confidence in care for others. EFR Instructor is included in our Go Pro II program together with the IDC.

DAN Medical courses - Emergencies happen... Will you be prepared? We offer a full range of courses to cover nearly all diving emergencies. Courses suitable for recreational divers and professionals alike from basic to advanced courses, diver and Instructor.

PADI EANx (Nitrox) Specialty Instructor, PADI's most popular Specialty ever and other PADI Specialty Instructor ratings. The best way to enjoy your job and have more opportunities is to teach Specialties.

Go Pro III or MSDT Prep course - This course is for PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors who wish to continue their diving education in order to attain a wide variety of Specialty Instructor ratings including the popular Enriched Air (Nitrox) Instructor rating.

Go Pro IV - This program concentrates on additional skills required when working in the Dive Resort environment and results in the highly sought after Resort Operations and Management. Possible programs involve all aspects of a dive resort operations and management from sales to equipment to handling diving emergencies. Please ask for details.

Go Pro V - This continuing education program focuses on an inroduction to Technical diving. This exciting program is designed specifically for serious dive professionals who want to stay on the cutting edge of the ever-evolving dive industry. While not an Instructor course it will give you the basic understanding as well as skills of what Tech diving is all about. With Tech diving such a popular niche market it is good to have an understanding of this type of diving and it will greatly improve your knowledge and skills as a safe diver. Please ask for details.

Other Courses - As a dive professional you will want to continue your training and — based on your current level of certification — you will have a specialized need to participate in classes that fall outside of our regular Go Pro Programs.
