GO PRO III - PADI MASTER SCUBA DIVER TRAINER PREP

The Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep Program is Go Pro III of the iDAP College Dive to Success Career Training Curriculum This program includes the DAN Oxygen Instructor, the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Instructor course included with the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep course (MSDT), which involves certification in eight PADI Specialty Instructor ratings, one PADI Distinctive Specialty Instructor rating and 12 open water dives.  There is also an optional five Specialty Instructor program if you only want the bare minimum of Specialties. However the eight Specialty Instructor ratings will provide you with all the most popular Specialties for your students.

The Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep Program consists of 2 components:

1. PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer 4 1/2 Days

The Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep course is actually 5 Specialty Instructor courses conducted in an integrated manner over 4 1/2 days. The course is designed to train instructors how to organize, market, and conduct the following PADI Specialty Diver Courses:

The course involves academic presentations and 11 open water dives. Candidates are shown how to conduct training dives, briefings and scenarios. The recommended Specialties are those listed. However, the optional Specialties listed above may be substituted at no additional cost, or added for additional cost. You should choose the Specialties that 1. Interest you most and 2. Are of benefit or popular in your area.

Subjects include enriched air diving concerns and planning procedures, night diving techniques and points of interest, wreck mapping and survey, wreck penetration drills, use of wreck reels, deep diving techniques and hazards, air consumption calculations, underwater marine life identification and observation, navigation skills and techniques, multilevel diving techniques using a PADI wheel and/or dive computer, search and recovery drills, selection and implementation of appropriate search patterns, and use of lift bags.

The 5 Specialties represent the most commonly chosen certifications worldwide. Alternatively you may choose only five Specialties, which is all that is needed to obtain the Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification. Or else you can mix and match any number of certifications for special pricing.

Note that you will still need to have issued 25 PADI certifications before you will be able to apply for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating.  However by having these 5 most popular Specialties you will be able to reach 25 certifications much quicker, and with a lot more fun.

Entry Requirements:

  • Candidates must be PADI Assistant Instructors, PADI Instructors or have completed a PADI IDC/OWSI within the previous 12 months
  • Candidates must be certified as PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Divers or hold a qualifying certification from another training organization

Minimum age:
At least 18 years old

Completion Requirement:
Proof of 10 Logged Dives in each Specialty Rating Applied for (20 logged dives required if applying for Specialties independently.)

Certification:
PADI Specialty Instructor Application Fee - A$60 each NOT Included
Note: The MSDT Application fee (A$75 online) once 25 certifications have been completed is the student's responsibility.

The Oxygen Provider Course is an essential course for anyone with Rescue training and above… you owe it to your students and yourself to add this to the courses you offer.

Entry Requirements:

  • Have completed the DAN Oxygen Provider Module
  • Be a Scuba Instructor with an accredited agency or hold a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training and a Divemaster Qualification or higher
  • Be a DAN SEAP member or Subscriber (or a DAN member in the area you choose to teach

Minimum age:
Atleast 18 years of age

DAN Level One Instructor Pack (Overseas) - A$206 NOT included

Certification:
DAN Instructor Fee - Included with the Instructor Pack
PADI Distinctive Specialty Instructor Application Fee - (optional) A$60 NOT included
