Aimed at helping divers develop necessary skills and knowledge for safe search and recovery diving. Covers the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and fun of Search and Recovery Diving. As per all PADI Specialty training the course is practical based and includes a look at various lifting devices and techniques for bringing objects to the surface as well as a look at search patterns, lines and reels. Have a great time dropping old outboard motors then relocating and recovering them!
This is a very practical course for diving professionals to be able to search for and recover divers' lost items such as masks, watches, cameras, etc. Searching for hidden treasure not included! It is one of the many skills that may be included during Open Water Teaching Evaluations at the IE and so all-intending dive professionals need to be proficient in these skills.
Entry Requirements:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or an equivalent rating,
Or,
PADI Open Water Diver course AND Underwater Navigator or equivalent ratings.
