The Philippines has been talked of more and more for holidays in recent years as you might have noticed. There are a few definite reasons why we believe the Philippines has become so popular.
First is cost.
Your budget will go a long way here. The average wage of an unskilled Philippino is still under $1 US an hour in the Philippines. The El Galleon is a five star beach resort and yet luxury rooms right at the beach cost as little as $51 US a night in 2011
Safety.
Yes that may seem a strange thing to say and yet there are large parts of Asia where Westerners are not really welcome and the drinking of alcohol or dancing are not possible. The Philippines is largely Christian and there are actually more Catholics here than in Italy.
The weather.
Unlike most countries the Philippines enjoys just two seasons and is suitable for wonderful holidays all year round.

The El Galleon Philippine holidays.
Is truly a five star resort nestled among palm trees right at the beach. Here you can swim, relax by the pool, sup cocktails with small umbrellas in them or do a wide range of fun things. |
Swimming and diving.
Our water is a constant 25 - 27C right down to 50 meters and the underwater visibility, whilst it can vary, is usually in the range of 30 - 40 meters.

Asia divers is part of the El Galleon resort.
We have our own dive school and can teach a very wide range of diving from novice diver right up to PADI Instructor. Indeed we are one of only two Philippine dive schools qualified to this level. |
Both Asia Divers and El Galleon were established over twenty years ago, because the Philippines government created a protected fish reserve all round our resort.
