Another big reason why El Galleon Philippines dive resort is famous all over the world , starts off more than a thousand miles from us. It is called the Verde Island Passage and is a slow ocean current that starts out in the mid Pacific and brings us some of the cleanest water in the world heavily mixed with oxygen. That is why more than 60% of all the world's shallow water sea fish can be seen on our doorstep. We actually have more varieties of fish here than exist in the whole of the Red Sea and more coral types than the Great Barrier Reef.

Part of our resort is Asia Divers. This dive school covers every possible aspect of diving with PADI certification.

The Philippine Government realized over twenty years ago what a gem they had and made the entire area round our resort a protected fish reserve.

With Asia divers you can dive or learn to dive with a range of gas mixes from regular air to Nitrox which greatly extends the time a single dive, or Trimix for deep diving. You can even hire an underwater scooter from us, or a re-breather so you can dive in silence.

You can do cave diving, drift diving, explore small wrecks in more than twenty established dive site all within 15 minutes of our resort by boat.
