Twenty years ago the lush tropical vegetation of the island came right down to the beach and the El Galleon resort was created to blend in with the local surroundings. That has been a theme which continues to this day. We wish we could have more 'Sea View Family' roms but that would mean cutting down trees and clearing vegetation, which is a definite 'NO' for us.
