Overview of the IANTD Training Progression

  1. Nitrox Diver. P13,250, 2 Days. Broadly equivalent to PADI Enriched Air Diver. No-decompression Recreational diving to a max. Depth of 39m/130ft. The first step...
  2. Recreational Trimix Diver. P15,635, 2-3 Days. Teaches a fuller understanding of the applications of nitrox and trimix diving in the recreational range down to 30m/100ft, or 39m/130ft if the student holds a Deep Diver qualification. Covers various aspects of physiology, equipment configuration and dive technique in class, confined and open water training sessions.
  3. Deep Diver. P18,550, 3-4 Days. This provides training in the fundamentals of deeper diving and limited decompression, to 39m/130ft. This course is basically an Advanced Nitrox course conducted on air - therefore unless the student dives in an area where nitrox is unavailable, this course is not heavily emphasised.
  4. Advanced Nitrox Diver. P22,525, 4 Days. A thorough grounding in the use of nitrox for deeper diving and for limited decompression. This is a very important course which provides the foundation for your future technical diving education. 42m/140ft maximum depth, up to EAN 50 for decompression.
  5. Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver. P22,525 plus Helium, 4/5 days. An alternative to the Advanced Nitrox course which additionally trains the diver in use of trimix to maximum depths of 45m/150ft.
  6. Draeger Dolphin Rebreather Diver. P20,935, 3-4 Days. (PADI - P18,550). Training in the safe use of Draeger semi-closed Rebreathers for recrational nitrox diving no deeper than 39m/130ft.
  7. Normoxic Trimix Diver. P35,775 (excluding Helium), 5-6 Days. An altenative to Technical Diver and similar in structure, but on this course you will make three of the dives on normoxic (breathable at the surface) trimixes to depths up to 61m/200ft. This affords a far safer means of deep water exploration, with equivalent narcosis depths not exceeding 36m/120ft.
  8. Trimix Diver. P39,750 (excluding Helium), 5-6 Days. Full training in the use of hypoxic breathing gases for diving to maximum depth of 91m/300ft. This is the pinnacle of open water diver training in the IANTD system.
  9. Technical Wreck Diver. P31,800 ( exluding diving/travel expenses ). 4 Days. Training in all aspects of full wreck penetration techniques, typically conducted at away locations such as Subic Bay.
  10. EANx Gas Blender. P13,250, 2 Days. A program certifying those that have a need in the methods and operations of systems for safe handling and production of nitrox.
  11. Advanced Nitrox/Advanced Recreational Trimix Instructor. P35,775, 3-4 Days. An Instructor crossover program directing instructors from other training agencies in the presentation of IANTD programs up to the Advanced Nitrox or Advanced Recreational Trimix.
  12. Normoxic Trimix Instructor. P35,775, 5/6 Days. A training program designed to upgrade existing IANTD instructors to a level where they can teach Technical Diver and Normoxic Trimix Diver students.
  13. Supervisory Levels. Programs can be run by special arrangement to train divers to the levels of IANTD Divemaster, Technical Diver Supervisor and Trimix Diver Supervisor. These ratings are invaluable prerequisites to instructor level training at these higher levels. Please inquire for details.

General Notes: Course costs are inclusive of all required materials except Helium where applicable, the Technical Diver Enyclopedia, and IANTD Log books. As noted under individual course outlines this means the fee includes:

  • Required Student workbooks
  • Certification fees
  • All oxygen or nitrox fills
  • Tank, BCD and regulator rental
  • Local boat charters. (All boats used for decompression diving activities will be equipped with marine radio and surface oxygen.)

THE TRAINING at TECH ASIA

Important

Additionally, the following applies to all IANTD training programs

Students with unsafe attitudes or demonstrating bad dive habits or poor water skills will not be certified. Training is purchased upon enrollment and certification is earned through the students performance and knowledge demonstrated at the end of the course. Performance will be evaluated using the IANTD 'Individual Dive' and 'Course Completion' forms. Candidates not achieving a passing score will be required to make additional dives for certification.

GUE Courses.

DIR Fundamentals - P20,140 (excl. expenses) ,3-4 Days This is unique skill intensive program for any certified diver which has two main aims. One is to allow a diver, who may have no desire to progress to the technical levels, to develop their skills and knowledge in such a way as to make them more comfortable and competent in the water. The second is to prepare those heading for higher level training with a base of skills more likely to allow them to succeed. This course is now a certification program and pre-requisite to all further GUE training.

Tech 1 Diver - P63600 ( excl. expenses ), 6 Days . Tech 1 is structured to prepare divers for the rigours of technical diving and to familiarize divers with the use of different breathing and decompression mixtures. It will teach students the use of dual tanks and the associated failure modes with them, the use of nitrox for accelerated and general decompression strategies, the use of helium to minimize marcosis, and the application of a single decompression stage.

The PADI/DSAT Courses.

  1. Draeger Dolphin Semi Closed Rebreather. P18,550. Approx 3 Days. Recreational depth rebreather diving with a basic enriched air or nitrox certification being a prerequisite or taken alongside the course.
  2. DPV Diver Specialty Course P12,720 plus DPV Rental (P2,650 for Gavin Scooter). Two Days. The course is conducted in recreational depths and illustrates the benefits, as well as the possible concerns with using Diver Propulsion Vehicles. Includes all nitrox fills for those certified.
  3. DSAT Tec Diver Level One. P34,450 ( incl. materials). 5-6 Days. The course is intended for those who do not yet have the prerequisites to progress to full technical diving but wish to begin developing the skills and the knowledge involved.
  4. DSAT Tec Deep Diver. P22,260. Approx 4-5 Days. Tec Diver Level One is a prerequisite, for those with experience, the course now provides the training to begin moving beyond recreational scuba diving depths. Covers use of all decompression mixes up to 100% oxygen, and diving to maximum depth 50m/165ft.
  5. DSAT Tec Trimix Diver. P45,050 (incl. materials ). 6-7 Days. For those already holding Technical qualifications this course extends their depth range capabilities to a maximum of 75m/250 ft using Trimix.
  6. DSAT Gas Blender . 13,250. 2 Days. A course in both nitrox and trimix gas blending, also covering oxygen cleaning and handling procedures, and production of oxygen compatible air. Course fee includes manual and blending software.
